Peter Marszal

Peter loves his Persol 714 sunglasses, better known as the “Steve McQueen’s” (after the legendary actor/style icon wore them in the Thomas Crowne Affair). While McQueen favoured a light brown pair with blue lenses, Peter chose a darker, green-tinted tortoiseshell to go with his brown gradient lenses.

First introduced in the 1960s, these plastic resin shades are still among the most popular and fashionable frames today. Peter told us that these are his go-to sunglasses and he loves them so much, he’s considering buying the same pair in black!

Lainy Hedaya

Lainy is the brains (and beauty!) behind fashion blog “Haute Inhabit,” which features weekly personal style photos, alongside trend reports and designer features. Lainy says her goal is to use the blog to not only highlight old favourites, but to introduce readers to up-and-coming designers as well. Case in point: she’s wearing a Gianfranco Ferre top under a sleek black jacket from LA-based label, OLIMA.

The sunglasses are from Persol and were purchased four years ago. We love the signature details on the shades like the silver arrow on the temples (inspired by the swords of ancient warriors) and the metal accents on the bridge. Lainy apologized for wearing sunglasses that were cracked, but honestly, we didn’t even notice. From her poise and pose, to her elegant style, we think she looked just fine.

Mike Levasseur

We’re Yankees fans ourselves, but we’ve got to admit that the Mets baseball cap works perfectly with Mike’s tortoiseshell Persol shades. It’s a casual weekend look that’s still put together… even if he’s rooting for that other New York team.

Taylor Gray

Dressed for a windy and wet day in the city, we found Taylor as the seasons were changing and loved his Persol sunglasses and windbreaker/aged leather messenger bag combo.
